Dal-Baati Bowl

Recipe:
Ingredients:
1. 50 grams of Whole Wheat flour
2. ½ cup of pigeon peas (toor dal)
3. 1 Tomato
4. 1 small Onion
5. Salt and red chili powder as per taste
6. 2 tsp Oil and some fresh coriander for garnishing
Instructions:
1. Rinse and pressure cook the toor dal until cooked. Mash it lightly and keep it aside.
2. For the baatis, knead a firm dough with whole wheat flour, adding a little salt and water. Divide the dough into small portions and shape them into round baatis.
3. Bake the baatis in a preheated oven at 180°C until they turn golden brown.
4. In another pan, heat the oil. Add finely chopped onions and tomatoes to it. Cook until they soften.
5. Add the cooked dal to this pan. Stir well and bring it to a boil.
6. Sprinkle with salt, chili powder, and garnish with fresh coriander.
7. In a bowl, place the baked baatis and pour over the dal. Serve your Dal-Baati Bowl hot!
