Bengali Style Chicken Pulao One-Bowl
Ingredients:
1. 50g Basmati Rice
2. 50g Chicken (boneless)
3. 1-2 Green Chillies
4. 1 tsp Ghee
5. 1 tsp Bengali Garam Masala (Cinnamon, Cardamom, Cloves, Nutmeg)
5. Salt to taste
Instructions:
1. Rinse the basmati rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Soak it for 30 minutes, then drain.
2. Cook rice with 1 cup of water in a rice cooker. Once done, fluff it with a fork and let it cool.
3. In a pan, heat 1 tsp of ghee. Add chicken pieces and saute until they turn brown.
4. Slit the green chillies lengthwise and add them into the pan. Saute for a couple of minutes until the chicken absorbs the flavors.
5. Add Bengali Garam Masala (mixture of ground cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, nutmeg) and salt to taste. Toss well to coat the chicken evenly with the masala. Cook for two more minutes.
6. Finally, mix the cooked chicken with the cooked rice. Gently mix them together ensuring the rice grains do not break.
