Light Chingri Macher Jhol
Boil 50g of long-grained rice and keep aside. Next, heat 1 tsp oil in a pan, add a pinch of turmeric and red chilli powder, mix well. Add 50g of cleaned and deveined prawns, sauté till it turns golden. Add finely chopped tomato and green chillies, cook until tomato turns mushy. Add 1 cup warm water, cover the pan and let it simmer for around 10 minutes or until prawns are cooked well. Add the cooked rice to this, mix well and simmer for another 5 minutes. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and your Chingri Macher Jhol is ready.
