Ingredients:
1. Basmati Rice: 1 cup
2. Mutton: 200 grams
3. Onion: 2 (chopped)
4. Ginger and Garlic paste: 1 tablespoon
5. Green Chillies: 2
6. Oil: 2 tablespoons
7. Salt (to taste)
8. Whole spices (cloves, cardamom, and cinnamon sticks)
Method:
1. Rinse and soak the basmati rice for around 20 minutes.
2. Heat oil in a pan, add the whole spices and sauté until the aroma is released.
3. Add the chopped onions, green chillies and ginger-garlic paste and sauté until the onions turn golden brown.
4. Add mutton pieces to the pan and cook until they turn brown.
5. After the mutton is browned, add the soaked basmati rice and gently stir.
6. Pour 2 cups of water, add salt as per taste, cover the pan and cook until the rice and mutton are cooked well.
