– 1 large onion
– 1 large tomato

Recipe:
1. Rinse 1 cup of whole grain rice thoroughly and soak it in water for 10-15 minutes.
2. In a pressure cooker, add 1 tbsp oil and 1 tsp cumin seeds. Allow the cumin seeds to sizzle.
3. Slice 1 large onion and chop 1 large tomato. Add them to the pressure cooker. Sauté till tomatoes turn mushy.
4. Drain the soaked rice and add it to the cooker. Stir well and add salt to taste and 1 tsp turmeric powder. Mix well.
5. Add 2 cups of water and stir. Close the pressure cooker and cook for 2 whistles on medium flame.
6. Let the pressure release naturally. Open the cooker, garnish the Gujarati Pelyu Pulav with coriander leaves.
